It’s kind of heating up around here as we get ready to kick-off our annual open house, Celebration Weekend that celebrates life out West (next year I’m gunning for the theme to be Westphoria).

Above is a sneak peek of the 150-square-foot Bellomo Arc House, which the New York Times covered yesterday. Of course, this being the West, the architect, Joseph Bellomo of Bellomo Architects, was inspired by a bike rack.

Also happening this weekend, the ultimate Westphoria hero and urban farmer Novella Carpenter will be on stage on Saturday (June 2). Star Seattle chef Tom Douglas is doing a demo with the West’s official fish: the salmon.  And then nose-to-tail chef and salumeria Bay Area wizard Chris Cosentino will be preparing spring lamb.
