MiiR, the outdoor products company that’s been designing and selling reusable water bottles online--and funding water projects around the world--since 2009, now has a physical storefront too. Part cafe, part shop, part community space, MiiR offers an espresso menu featuring their favorite coffee roasters and 28 beers on tap, including many local favorites. Beyond beverages and bottles, MiiR sells coffee tumblers, growlers, half-growlers (called “howlers”), and, most recently, bicycles. Like their bottles, the MiiR-branded steel commuter bikes are simple and iconic in appearance and designed in Seattle. (They’re also sold through REI.) Plus all your purchases are hardworking. For every beverage you buy, water is provided to one person in need for one day; every container purchased funds enough water for one person for one year. The same goes for bikes—when you buy one, MiiR donates another one. (Programs are running in seven African nations.) The best part: Your receipt comes with a tracking number to receive updates and photos on the projects you’ve helped fund.
