Minted Yogurt Sauce

Seasoned with fresh garlic and mint, this sauce is indispensable for souvlaki, the Greek street snack of grilled meat wrapped in pita. The recipe is by Charles Bililies, owner of Souvla, the spit-roasted meat restaurants in San Francisco.

How to Make It

Whisk together labne, yogurt, mint, lemon juice, garlic, and salt. Taste and add more lemon juice or salt if you like.

Make ahead: Up to 2 days, chilled.
Ingredients
1 1/4 cups labne (yogurt cheese; find at well-stocked grocery stores)
2 tablespoons whole-milk yogurt
2 tablespoons minced fresh mint leaves
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
