Southern California has a new blockbuster museum to add to itsmuch- lauded lineup. A $275 million renovation of the originalhilltop J. Paul Getty Museum, the Getty Villa in Malibu pays homageto Getty’s collection of Greek, Roman, and Etruscan antiquitieswith a design that’s as culturally respectful as it isground-breaking. We toured the museum just before its Januaryopening with principal architect Jorge Silvetti, who highlightedsome of his favoritespots.
