Food Network Star Tyler Florence Takes Three Lucky Readers “From Grilling Disaster to Grilling Master”
Menlo Park, CA – The July issue of Sunset magazine (www.sunset.com), the premier guide to life in the West, takes its inspiration from its readers ― from adventurous summer trips to imaginative backyard makeovers.
Just in time for the height of summer, readers also submitted their top 10 favorite beaches:
1.Laguna Beach, CA
2.Aliomanu, Kauai, HI
3.Anchor Bay Beach, Anchor Bay, CA
4.Cape Blanco State Park, OR
5.Carmel River State Beach, CA
6.Second Beach, Near La Push, WA
7.Butterfly Beach, Santa Barbara
8.La Jolla Cove, CA
9.Moonstone Beach, Cambria, CA
10. Shell Beach, CA
A highlight of the July issue is the “From Grilling Disasters to Grilling Masters” (p.58) story, featuring Food Network star, Tyler Florence, and the three winners of Sunset’s Biggest Barbecue Disaster contest. The winners, whose disasters range from chicken so tough it couldn’t be cut with a steak knife to setting a dumpster on fire, were flown to Sunset headquarters for a one-day BBQ boot camp, where Tyler walked them each through his simple fixes for perfect BBQ chicken, hamburgers, and ribs.
“July’s stories celebrate how real Westerners are living their lives to the fullest,” said Katie Tamony, Sunset editor-in-chief. “I’m consistently amazed by the creativity and resourcefulness of our readers and it is an honor to celebrate their ideas in our pages this month.”
