As the West enters peak wildfire season, it is increasingly important for residents to be prepared, especially in the event of an emergency evacuation. More than 100,000 people were displaced by wildfires in California, Washington, and Oregon last year as over 6 million acres burned.

It’s a good idea to have an emergency kit ready in case you need to leave your home. And it’s even better if these kits are tailored to who needs them. Do you have kids? A cat? Dogs? Don’t forget often-overlooked items like a litter box on top of your hand-crank radio.
