The Masonic auditorium emerged in fall 2014 from an expensive revamp ready to rock big-name acts in its midsize room. The midcentury exterior is much the same as in 1964, when Bob Dylan performed there. But inside, the sound is sweeter, courtesy of an upgraded high-tech system. The theater got new cocktail bars and a kitchen, and the redesigned auditorium allows it to go from open-floor (for must-dance shows) to seated (for audiences that might’ve been around during that ’64 show).
