Berridge Cactus
Thomas J. Story

1. One-stop herb shopping

A sweet acacia shelters the herb section at Berridge, which sells up to 100 varieties during peak spring season. Look for common herbs― thymes, basils, mints―and more exotic ones like culantro (a cilantro relative), epazote, and lemongrass.

2. Find cool cactus

Small cactus―perfect for containers―are another specialty at Berridge. Picks include ghostly white old man cactus (Cephalocereus senilis, in pot on stand) and gnarled Cereus peruvianus.
