The menu includes flavorful vegetarian sides, salads, and pitas, too

Los Angeles is buzzing with the arrival of Kismet Rotisserie, the new restaurant from chefs Sarah Hymanson and Sara Kramer, the duo behind continuously popular Kismet and Kismet Falafel. This time, it’s a very low-key, fast-casual affair, serving rotisserie chicken and vegetable-centric sides with a strong Mediterranean flavor profile.

It’s now open in Loz Feliz, a stones throw away from its sibling restaurants, operating in the former location of legendary taco shop Yuca’s on Hollywood. There are about a dozen seats total at the restaurant, which is set up predominantly for takeout and catering orders. But despite its petite size, it’s still stylishly appointed with pops of color, lots of leafy plants, and Kismet’s signature laid-back vibes.

As the name suggests, the menu is centered around juicy rotisserie chicken, served as plates with sides or stuffed into a fluffy pita with jammy eggs, turmeric roasted onions, and fresh herbs (also available as a salad). Vegetarians should know that there are plenty of options for them in addition to the salads, including a veggie pita sandwich, and a plethora of snacks like hummus and peanut muhammara with pita for dipping. Sides are simple but flavorful, like smashed cucumbers with caraway vinaigrette, shredded carrots with orange and coriander, and potatoes roasted in the schmaltzy drippings from the chicken.

Kids will have their needs met as well with the “Kidsmet” menu, featuring a kids chicken plate, chicken pita, and veggie pita. Dessert is simple: choose from halvah pudding cups or chocolatey tahini cookies.

Kismet Rotisserie is now open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily at 4666 Hollywood Blvd. with plans to add delivery in the very near future. Catering is currently available for large parties, with chicken party packs for up to 30.
