The Tree Room at northern Utah’s Sundance Resort woos diners: Try the signature pepper steak with buttermilk mash and mango chutney. The rooms and suites are scattered around old-growth pines and aspens, at the base of the resort’s 450-acre ski area. The fall colors in the surrounding Wasatch Mountains here deserve attention: In early fall, you can ride a ski lift up the mountain, then hike or bike down.
