Not a lot of people know about this one, even though it’s right off the Tahoe Rim Trail. The hike’s not more than a mile and a half, with a nice gradual upswing—enough to get you breathing. But the rock outcroppings up there are very special. They look like the faces of people in profile, and when you’re on top of them you can see clear across the lake to the runs over at Heavenly.
