Spring green

Mantel story

Zsori loves creating meaningful little vignettes around her home, including this grouping that captures the spirit of her organic style. Long-lasting natural elements, such as kangaroo paws and faux moss balls, are displayed next to artwork and accessories that reflect the room's dominant hues.

Breathe new life into your home with the nature-influenced ideas of Portland style maven Pam Zsori.

Creator of one of our favorite blogs, Housemartin, and founder of a new home and floral design store called Ink & Peat (slated to open in early summer; 503/282-6688), Zsori takes a casual yet elegant approach to decorating that embodies the essence of the season.

"If you're entertaining, bring in elements that coordinate with your decor, such as this polka-dot cake," Zsori says. The festive sweets echo the colors in the bird paintings and in the pale yellow roses, kangaroo paws, galax leaves, and sword fern.
