Hipcamp, the website devoted to matching campers with the perfect campground, is branching out. No longer solely focused on simply turning users on to a new place to pitch a tent, the site now aims to make users hip to peak experiences while camping.

The company has unveiled a new search filter that will help visitors find campsites offering seasonal experiences to enhance the outdoor adventure. A camper interested in minimizing the amount of food she needs to carry, for example, might find herself booking a stay on the grounds of an organic farm north of Seattle where she’s free to pick apples and grapes. A glamper can find a yurt on a Colorado property with spectacular East-Coast style leaf-peeping, or a group of aspiring foragers can learn the skills needed to rustle up a campfire wild mushroom risotto near Mount Rainier.
These are just a few examples; the range of experiences available is as wide as the West. Look for fall activity options to debut September 23, and for offerings to change seasonally as winter approaches.
