Also known as the Jalapeño Sauvignon Blanc or Spicy Sauvy B, it’s a super simple, ultra-refreshing update to a classic pour of white wine.

“I fear I will never be able to drink my sauvy b the same way again,” wrote creator @lovebugatx in a post with more than 930,000 views. While some were concerned about acid reflux and digestive issues, the majority of the comment section was flooded with intrigue and excitement expressed in all-caps.

“NEED THIS RN. I KNOW THIS WAS SO CRISP,” commented one person. “THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING MY WHOLE LIFE FOR,” added another.

This zippy twist doesn’t exactly have an origin story, but many are crediting @allyssainthekitchen for the inspo. Back in 2022, she posted about a similar combo: jalapeños and rosé. A few months later, @partnerinwineuk went viral for trying out white wine with frozen jalapeño slices—a great swap for ice cubes that won’t water down your drink.

Fast forward to now, and it’s all about the “sauvy b.” Sauvignon blanc is a fruit-forward, citrusy wine, so it makes sense that so many people are raving about pairing it with jalapeños. One creator went so far as to say it’s a solid, low-maintenance alternative to a spicy margarita.
