Protecting crops from the birds and squirrels
No more messing around. I’m not going to risk the same damage to the last round of cool-season greens that befell the fall crops. No way, not gonna do it.
I have a ton of babies in the ground — all the seedlings from the Japanese spring garden, plus a few new trial crops from Cook’s Garden. Purple Pak Choi, anyone??
Bird netting is just about my least favorite medium to work with. It catches on everything! But I took one for the team and properly protected everything I’ve got growing.
Take that, squirrels and birds. We should be having nibble-free produce in no time.
