Eat Fresh, Day 1: Goodbye, Everything.
We’re kicking off our #SunsetEatFresh challenge today! Join us as we embark on our New Years resolutions to treat ourselves (and our bodies) well.
Who: Johanna, associate garden editor.
This year, I’m determined to: Eat a diet of fresh veggies and lean meat. I’m trying to keep this in the positive, but basically avoid processed food and sugar.
I chose this because: I grow vegetables but I don’t eat them.
My biggest obstacle: Time management / Meal planning.
My biggest temptation to cheat: The Sunset test kitchen.
Coping mechanism(s): I got a Crock-Pot in December. I’m turning into my mother (at least my mother in the ’80s).
I’m feelin’: MOTIVATED. GAME ON.
A recipe I’m really digging: It’s not a recipe (this is how bad I am). But having chopped veggies at my disposal (carrot, celery, cucumber, and bell pepper) is a life saver.
