Looking for a little adventure this weekend? Grab your gear—or rent some onsite—and head to any climbing destination in your vicinity. Inexperienced? What better time to kick off a foray into a fun, pressure-free community of bouldering, big wall, and overall outdoor enthusiasts?

Courtesy of The North Face comes Global Climbing Day, an Aug. 21 celebration of “climbing and the community it creates,” the company said on its website.

Those interested in participating, whether via a local rock climbing gym or outdoors on a towering rock face, are encouraged to share images of their outing using a designated hashtag or by tagging The North Face.

“We want to see how you’re celebrating, indoors and out. See how others are getting after it, share your own snaps with #globalclimbingday and tag @TheNorthFace to be featured here,” the release said. “To register, celebrate Global Climbing Day your own way or join us and other members of the climbing community at an event near you. We’ve even teamed up with hundreds of gyms to make it easier for you to spend your day on the wall.”

Participants can register via The North Face website. Registration is location-based. Just enter your zip code or city to see what’s in store in your respective area.

Many of the events will also feature renowned The North Face athletes. Select gyms in Seattle and San Francisco, for example, have added world class climbers Andres Marin and Matty Hong, respectively, as attendees.

(They’ll be climbing, too, of course.)
