Google recently redesigned its mobile and desktop site for hotel searches to improve the user experience. Now the company is taking things one step further, and expanding search beyond traditional accommodations.

Google relaunched its mobile site last week to add all types of short-term rental properties, including hotels and vacation rental listings from partners including Expedia, HomeAway, VRBO, Hotels.com, RedAwning, and TripAdvisor.

To check out the listings, would-be travelers can navigate to the hotel search page and filter for “vacation rentals,” or click on the vacation rentals tip to surface suggestions on where to stay in their intended destination.

On the site, users can set filters for price and amenities to narrow their search to find what they’re looking for, whether it’s the perfect spot for an entire family, a place that allows dogs, a big kitchen, a spot by the beach, or a cabin in the mountains. They can then browse photos, read reviews, and see rates and availability of the vacation rental property from the travel provider to help make the final decision. Once a traveler decides on a place to stay they can click “Book” to be taken to the partner pages to complete the transaction.

Google is currently only offering this service on mobile. However, it will expand the vacation rental filter to desktop next month.

“We hope this update helps travelers make fast, effortless decisions—and with more choices on where to stay, your perfect vacation is just a few clicks away,” Google shared in a statement.
