The Lantern Room
The Lantern Room, located within the newly renovated Monterey Beach Hotel, offers a refined coastal dining experience with breathtaking panoramic ocean views. Opened in August 2024, the restaurant highlights the vibrant flavors of the region, serving breakfast and dinner in an inviting, nautical-inspired space designed by the renowned Bay Area-based ROY Hospitality. The Lantern Room’s menu, curated by Chef Paul Corsentino emphasizes sustainable, farm-to-table cuisine, showcasing fresh, locally sourced ingredients from nearby purveyors like Sea Harvest Fish Market, Swank Farms, Glaum Ranch, and Fogline Farm. With a focus on the abundant bounty of Monterey Bay and the Pacific Ocean, the menu reflects the community’s rich culinary heritage. Complementing the cuisine is a robust wine list curated by local winemaker Ian Brand, featuring wines exclusively from the Monterey Bay region, from Santa Cruz County to the Santa Lucia Highlands and beyond.
