Sunriver Nature Center and Observatory

For over 50 years, the Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory has served as a gateway to natural sciences and astronomical exploration through hands-on experiences, conservation efforts, educational programs, and natural exhibits. The observatory is home to the largest collection of publicly accessible telescopes in the nation and has earned high acclaim in the Dark Sky Community. Beyond dark sky viewing and education, the Nature Center features exhibits and activities showcasing native flora and fauna, such as the Creature Cave—home to snakes, lizards, and salamanders—encounters with animal ambassadors, a large botanical garden, and nature walks through pine forest, wetland, and meadow habitats. Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory aims to foster curiosity and create educational experiences that inspire a deeper connection to space and the natural world.
