Santa Fe Painting Workshops
Art classes offer visitors a chance to learn how to paint in an authentic downtown Santa Fe studio and gallery space, just one block from the legendary Canyon Road. With 30 years of painting and 20 years of teaching experience, I teach students an approachable step-by-step method of abstract painting in a fun and relaxing environment. I welcome individuals, groups and families, and know how to teach those who have never painted before. I have stellar reviews on Google, and teach multi-day retreats in addition to 2-hour classes. In addition, I show students how I paint with local pigments and mica hand-collected from Northern New Mexico so that they get a better understanding of the richness of our state. I feel Sunset readers would love the experience of learning how to paint their own abstract piece, as opposed to the popular paint and sip class model in which students copy the same painting. In this way, my classes stand out as a way to offer visitors a unique experience, a new skill, a peek into an artist’s life in Santa Fe, and an unforgettable keepsake.
