Prineville, Oregon
Founded in 1880, Prineville is the oldest community in Central Oregon. Located at the eastern edge of Central Oregon, and in the heart of the Crooked River Caldera, Prineville, offers ample outdoor recreation, various stops on the High Desert Food Trail and year-round angling opportunities. Prineville was recently put on a top 10 list as one of the most dynamic cities in the country, by the nonprofit Heartland Forward coming in at 9th-most dynamic micropolitan area out of 536 in the U.S. In 2021 Prineville Reservoir State Park was designated an International Dark Sky Parks by the International Dark-Sky Association.
