Original Joe’s has been serving old-school, comforting Italian-American fare in an open kitchen for all to see for over 88 years. Original Joe’s is the innovator of the nationally renowned “Joe’s Concept:” an exhibition kitchen with counter seating, signature booths, and a diverse menu offering an evolution of Italian-American cuisine. The restaurant has established itself as a dining destination, with nostalgic dishes like Chicken Parmigiana and Joe’s Housemade Ravioli welcoming in new and regular diners. Now a third-generation family-owned and operated business currently has two locations—North Beach in San Francisco and Westlake in Daly City. Original Joe’s has been recognized as one of the “Best Family Owned Restaurants in the United States,” listed in the “Top 100 Independently Owned Restaurants,” and continuously one of San Francisco’s most quintessential dining experiences. Anticipated for late Spring 2025, Original Joe’s will open its first East Bay location in Walnut Creek’s Broadway Plaza.
