Located in La Jolla, California, Le Coq is the new wave French steakhouse from James Beard Foundation Best Chef California Finalist Tara Monsod and Puffer Malarkey Collective. Inspired by the modern Parisian culinary landscape, chef Tara reinvents classic dishes through her signature approach, blending cross-cultural references and ingredients for a distinctly SoCal expression of French cuisine. Designed in collaboration with Megan Power of Workind Studio and Puffer Malarkey Collective’s Christopher Puffer, the duo drew inspiration from 1970’s supper clubs to reimagine the historic 1930’s building. Le Coq is open Tuesday through Saturday and reservations are available via OpenTable.
