Colorado Chautauqua
The Colorado Chautauqua (Chautauqua) turns 125 in 2023 and has been called “Boulder’s Crown Jewel.” Perched above America’s “Favorite College Town” on the edge of the iconic Flatirons mountains, it is celebrated as THE western representation of a cultural movement that swept the U.S. in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Today’s Chautauqua features over 60 cottages and lodges available for nightly rental, important public buildings, 40 miles of hiking trails, year-round concerts, talks and community events, quaint shopping, historic private event venues, renewing retreat experiences, and farm-to-table dining.
