Not to mention the town has fifteen miles of epic beachscape, some fringed by old-growth rain forest. And foodies will be happy too: Tofino is quickly becoming a food-tropolis known for spot prawns, chilled oysters, and line-caught-halibut sandwiches. As one of our judges put it, “Tofino is magical. There’s no other beach town like it. You can wash a salmon taco down with Kelp Stout. I also saw a mother bear and cub on the way into town.”
