The Rest

To the casual eye, The Bodega is nothing special, but those in the know—guests with a reservation—are given a key at the cash register and directed to a gray door beneath a neon restroom sign. (The room portion is burnt out, which gives the bar its name, The Rest.) There are small bites on the menu, but the focus is on inventive cocktails, like the JPO, made with mole bitters, mescal, and orange zest.
