The Moorten Botanical Garden is a hidden treasure. You’ll find thousands of species of succulents and cactus growing together from all over the world. The “Cactarium”—like a Quonset hut overflowing with exotic desert plants—is a must-see. The garden is run by Clark Moorten, a 60-something cowboy. If Clark takes a liking to you, he may let you snip off a little piece of a succulent to grow on your own.
