The Golden Gate National Recreation Area’s Lands End Lookout opened to rave reviews in summer 2012. If it’s foggy, you can duck into the polished redwood-and-concrete visitor center to learn about the Ohlone people who once lived here, see photos of the old Playland park, or buy a cup of clam chowder.
