Disneyland Is Bringing Back a Fan-Favorite Ride for a Limited Time
Star Wars fans, get ready.

Most Disney devotees are familiar with Space Mountain, but some may remember the limited-time ride, Hyperspace Mountain. The perennial favorite attraction at Disneyland’s Tomorrowland gets a Star Wars-themed update that transports guests into “hyperspace,” where you’ll find New Republic X-wing starfighters and Imperial TIE fighters. If you’ve been waiting for its return, you’re in luck: the ride will open during “Season of the Force” from March 28 to May 11—just in time to celebrate “Star Wars Day” on May 4.
In addition to Space Mountain’s seasonal overlay, the park will also celebrate all things Star Wars with a nightly performance of “Fire of the Rising Moons” at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This year, expect to see new projection effects and a firework show on some nights.

Hyperspace Mountain was first introduced in November 2015, and its most recent run was during last year’s “Season of the Force” celebration from April 5 to June 2, 2024. In years past, there have also been novelty treats and beverages, plus plenty of new merch to shop.
“Hyperspace Mountain continues to be one of the best overlays we’ve had the opportunity to create,” Elissa Logozio, who previously worked as an associate producer at Walt Disney Imagineering and was the producer of Hyperspace Mountain, told StarWars.com back in 2017. “We were tasked with celebrating an iconic franchise through new storytelling and experiences for our guests at Disneyland, and we have been thrilled by our guests’ feedback.”
As you prepare to get thrown into a galactic battle far, far away, remember there’s something else to look forward to on the other side: the ride is oh-so-conveniently located right next to the beloved Alien Pizza Planet if you need to refuel.
