Disneyland Is Eliminating a Major Perk for Resort Guests

There are quite a few perks for people who book rooms at one of Disneyland’s many resorts, but one is on its way out. After January 5, 2026, resort guests will no longer have early access to the parks. Prior to this decision, which the company shared in late August, guests could enter Disneyland or California Adventure 30 minutes before the official opening time.

While this benefit seemed like a major plus, the company disclosed that it wasn’t a “widely used” offering. But now, resort guests have something new to look forward to during their stay: Starting January 5, you can take advantage of one Lightning Lane entry to a Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction. This is limited to one entry per guest, per stay. 

A Lightning Lane Multi Pass starts at $32 per ticket, per day, and prices and availability vary. This is a rare opportunity to receive a free gift from Disneyland to skip through a long line? There is a specific set of eligible attractions with this complementary pass, and features some of the most sought-after rides (which typically come with the longest lines). Here’s the full list:
