Vegas Just Got a Fancy New Food Hall

    Yet another reason why Sin City is for foodies

Any true fan of Sin City knows, dining is as much a scene as the gambling, nightclubs, and live shows. Along with its roster of five-star restaurants run by international top chefs, the Strip is now home to a bustling food hall, which opened at The Cosmopolitan over Labor Day Weekend.

Block 16 Urban Food Hall echoes the fast-casual vibe of great food courts in many a metropolitan city, whether San Diego’s Lincoln Station, L.A.’s Grand Central Market, or New York’s Chelsea Market, offering a lineup of six buzzy restaurants from emerging chefs across the country. With a broad scale of international flavors to satisfy every craving, the eateries under Block 16’s roof include James Beard-awarded Chef Andy Ricker’s legendary Thai street food from Pok Pok Wing (pictured), Nashville’s famous Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, decadent donuts, sliders, and coffee drinks from New Orleans’ own District: Donuts. Sliders. Brew, and piled-high sandwiches from Portland’s Lardo. There’s also Tekka Bar, an original concept from local restaurateur Takashi Segawa, of Kabuto, which features Japanese handrolls and sake. New York’s mezcal bar, Ghost Donkey, will also join the lineup later this fall.

The Cosmopolitan opened two fine dining restaurants earlier this year, outposts of high-end New York brasserie Blue Ribbon, and London’s modern Japanese eatery, Zuma, in addition to their impressive roster of buzz-worthy joints like David Chang’s Momofuku, Jose Andrés’ China Poblano, and Chris Santos’ speakeasy Beauty & Essex, among others. With the introduction of Block 16, visitors can enjoy laid-back, affordable eats and a variety of flavors in one space, plus the option to take it to go, so you can eat like a king while roaming the Strip.
