Hipcamp now helps you find more than a campsite—it can match you with activities to help fill your days in the outdoors

Hipcamp, the website devoted to matching campers with the perfect campground, is branching out. No longer solely focused on simply turning users on to a new place to pitch a tent, the site now aims to make users hip to peak experiences while camping.

Starting September 23 (the first official day of fall), the company is unveiling a new search filter that will help visitors find campsites offering seasonal experiences to enhance the outdoor adventure.  A camper interested in minimizing the amount of food she needs to carry, for example, might find herself booking a stay on the grounds of an organic farm north of Seattle where she’s free to pick apples and grapes. A glamper can find a yurt on a Colorado property with spectacular East-Coast style leaf-peeping, or a group of aspiring foragers can learn the skills needed to rustle up a campfire wild mushroom risotto near Mount Rainier.

These are just a few examples; the range of experiences available is as wide as the West. Look for fall activity options to debut September 23, and for offerings to change seasonally as winter approaches.
