Not all pools are created equal — and it’s fair to say that a pool in a castle that has appeared in a Lady Gaga music video is a step above the rest. You could spend your summer days relaxing at your local public pool — but if you’ve got the extra cash (and some luck) why not attend the California’s most exclusive pool party? The iconic Neptune Pool at California’s Hearst Castle is hosting four exclusive pool parties starting in July — and the public is invited.

The Hearst estate near San Simeon was dreamed up by publishing tycoon William Randolph Hearst and his architect, Julia Morgan, designed the pool. The outdoor Neptune Pool was recently renovated and utilizes 20,000 marble tiles and sculptures commissioned by Parisian artist Charles-Georges Cassou. The castle is a National Historic Landmark.

The Neptune Pool parties are scheduled for the evenings of July 6, August 3, August 24, and September 21.

Travelers can take a tour of the castle for $25, but for an invite to a Neptune Pool soiree, tickets are $1,250. (Tickets for Hearst Castle are $950.) Tickets are available online and are first-come, first-serve with most pool party dates going on sale on July 1. Each pool party is expected to cap occupancy at 40 people.
