ResortPass

ResortPass offers a wide range of luxury resort amenities including pools, private beaches, deluxe spas, and high-end fitness facilities at properties including Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Westin, and Fairmont. Their day guest marketplace is free to join, and include some pretty great deals. In Los Angeles. for instance, you can book a daybed at the W Hotel for $45 including towel service, or for $150 for a booking that includes a daybed. The adorable Hotel June also offers day passes starting at $60.

Sniffspot

Humans shouldn’t be the only ones having fun in the dog days of summer. This new platform allows dog owners to book out private dog parks, some of which include water features and games courses for your doggo to enjoy. Hosts are locals that are renting their yards and private land to dog owners, and no other dogs are present during the time you book out. Bonus: Sniffspot also offers dog training. Prices start at around $10 an hour.

Swimply

Hotel pools can be admittedly scene-y and a bit of an energy commitment. If you want something more low-key, Swimply is a great option. The app is an online marketplace for renting a private swimming pool directly from homeowners for hourly rentals.

DayAxe

DayAxe works on a similar premise to ResortPass. You can book hotel day passes, cabanas, daybeds, or a spa pass, then a confirmation and your ticket are emailed your way. Prices do seem to start a bit lower at $25 per guest, and there are some great options. In our area, for instance, the retro chic Avalon was on offer, as well as the seaside retreat at Fairmont Bungalows in Santa Monica.

Daycation

The Daycation app has a much larger footprint in the Bahamas and Florida than they do on the West Coast, but they do have a couple offerings in California and Arizona. The app partners with some of the top resort groups in the world, including Nobu Hotels, Fairmont, Kimpton, and COMO, so there are tons of great pools to gain access to if you’re out that way.
