Amtrak Is Having a Massive Sale, and It’s Full Steam Ahead on Our Travel Plans
This epic, limited-time deal is perfect for planning an upcoming escape.
We’re suckers for a good sale and boy do we love train travel, so this announcement from Amtrak is a real wing dinger. From now through Jan. 20, Amtrak’s USA Rail Pass, which covers 10 rides, is available for $299, a savings of a whopping $200 off the regular price, making it even easier for you to achieve your 2023 travel goals.
With the USA Rail Pass, customers can see the country and explore sights at more than 500 destinations using up to 10 travel segments over a 30-day period for less than $30 per ride. So if you’re someone who’s planning your annual travel, consider this your sign to get going.
Amtrak is offering service across the country aboard 14 world-famous routes, including our favorites like the Coast Starlight, California Zephyr, and Southwest Chief. The Coast Starlight runs from Portland all the way down to Los Angeles, and is a beautiful way to view the changing Western coastline, from the lush forest of the Pacific Northwest to the sun-drenched coasts of California. The California Zephyr, known as one of the most beautiful train rides in the world, starts in Chicago and then goes through the plains of Nebraska, cutting through the heart of the Rockies in Denver and Salt Lake City, then continues on through Emeryville, California. The Southwest Chief takes travelers though towering red rocks and canyons through the Old West and cities like Phoenix, Albuquerque, and Santa Fe, ending in Los Angeles. All of them are incredible rides and worthy of your 2023 travel bucket list.
Ticket fees include two free checked bags, two personal items, and two carry-on bags. Their trains offer reclining seats, a big picture window, ample legroom, and no middle seat, making it an excellent, eco-conscious alternative to air travel.
This deal also includes a policy of allowing for change fees for reservations made through Feb. 28, giving your trip some flexibility. You can check out the Amtrak site for more info.
