The airline’s “sun & snow sale” on winter flights runs through January 5 at 11:59 pm PT.

Alaska Airlines Is Offering $39 Flights to Fuel Your Winter Wanderlust (But the Sale Ends Soon!)

If you’re like us and want to start booking some travel in the New Year, you’re in luck. Alaska Airlines just announced a massive winter sale, with flights throughout the West starting at just $39 one-way. It’s great news for ski bunnies and beach combers looking to set the tone for 2023 with an epic adventure.

Of course, as with many airline flash sales, there are some stipulations. The steeply discounted fares are valid on travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, and must be purchased at least 14 days before flying. There are some blackout dates in play as well.

Still, deals have us wanting to spend some of our Santa money. For those in Los Angeles looking to escape the punishing California storms, there are flights to sunny destinations like Honolulu, Loreto, and Los Cabos for just $99 one way. And from San Francisco and Portland, we’ve spotted fares to New York City for just $99 as well. If you live in Santa Barbara, you can fly up to one of our favorite cities in the Pacific Northwest—Portland, Oregon—for just $69 one way.

It’s worth noting, too, that Alaska fliers can link their Lyft ride share accounts with the airline, earning miles for their rides during their trip. Each dollar spent earns one mile through the program.

The sale ends on Thursday night at 11:59 p.m. and fares are subject to availability, so it’s best to consider booking now.
