I’m a Travel Editor and These Are Officially the Best Pants for Traveling, Period.
From pruning vineyards to long layovers, these wide-leg pants do it all.

Finding pants that look chic and feel like pajamas is the travel holy grail. After years of testing every so-called “perfect travel pant,” I’ve officially found my ride-or-die—the DUER No Sweat Wide Leg Pant. They’re soft enough for a surf club morning, polished enough for a vineyard visit, and forgiving enough for, well, wine tastings that turn into very, very long lunches. The wide-leg silhouette drapes like a trouser, but the drawstring waist is pure magic, making them stretchy enough to accommodate airport snacks and multi-course meals without judgment. I got my first pair in the color deep taupe, but I anticipate investing in every. single. color. as I tend to do when I like something.

If you’re not familiar with DUER, they’re a Vancouver-based brand born from the idea that performance and style shouldn’t live in separate closets. Founder Gary Lenett is a former cyclist who wanted to find a way to make commutes to work more stylish, and while their line was first more geared towards menswear, they’ve really expanded their women’s offerings recently, too.
I’ve worn their double-gusseted jeans on everything from photo shoots to backcountry hikes, and they’re practically indestructible. They never tear, even after years of abuse. The same attention to detail shows up in these wide-legs: The plant-based blend of cotton, TENCEL™ Lyocell, and a touch of stretch makes them breathable, moisture-wicking, and somehow always photo-ready. My favorite pairing is a cropped tank with my Outerknown blanket shirt, another travel must-have.
These are the kind of pants that make you wonder why jeans ever caught on. Whether you’re pruning vines in Paso, chasing waves in Baja, or just running errands after yoga, they move with you effortlessly, comfortably, and stylishly. Consider this my formal endorsement. These no-sweat pants are stretchy pants disguised as trousers, and I’ll be wearing them everywhere until further notice. Go ahead and get yourself pair here.
