Raspberry Simple Syrup

Imagine the essence of raspberries in liquid form, and you've got the idea behind this syrup. It's great stirred into our Italian Raspberry Cocktail or into plain club soda.
How to Make It
Step 1

Stir together sugar, 3/4 cup water, and the raspberries in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. When the first bubbles appear, reduce heat to medium-low and gently simmer 5 minutes. Let cool, then strain. Keeps up to 1 week, chilled.
