How to Make It

Peel, pit, and coarsely mash avocados. Add lime juice, onion, cilantro, chilies, garlic, and salt to taste, mixing well. Serve in a bowl.

Ingredients

 3 or 4 firm-ripe to ripe avocados (about 2 lb. total)
 1/4 cup lime juice
 2 tablespoons minced green onion
 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
 1 to 2 tablespoons minced fresh jalapeño chilies
 1 or 2 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
  Salt
