Fruit & Cheese Skewers
Liz Stanley, creator of the lifestyle blog Say Yes, created these fun lunchbox snacks for us. Use any kind of sturdy fruit that your child likes—grapes, berries, melons—with cheese for a bit of protein, and play with shapes and colors to make it more fun. Just avoid ingredients that might get brown or mushy by lunchtime, like pears, apples, or bananas. Also, if your school discourages skewers, leave them out and just pack the cut fruit.
How to Make It
With a small (1-in) melon baller, carve 4 balls from cantaloupe and 4 from honeydew. Skewer melon balls, cheese, and strawberries onto 4 (6-in.) wooden skewers.
