Bitter Cynar (it’s an amaro) and tart citrus juice are mellowed by simple syrup and enlivened by carbonation. There’s so much going on, you won’t even notice that this is a low-ABV cocktail.

How to Make It

Combine Cynar, lemon juice, and simple syrup with ice in a cocktail shaker and shake until chilled. Add soda directly to shaker and strain over fresh ice in a Collins glass. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

 2 oz Cynar
 ¾ oz lemon juice
 ½ oz simple syrup
 2 oz soda water
 lemon wedge
