The design and construction group Plant Prefab, the creators of prefab accessory dwelling units (ADUs) including the Sunset BUD LivingHome, has a new feature coming to their homes: smarts.

Announced at Modernism Week, Plant Prefab’s ADUs will now come standard with a series of smart home devices, compatible with Amazon Alexa. All the devices will be set up and ready to activate once a Plant Prefab ADU is purchased, and homeowners will be shown how to use their devices by an Amazon Expert.

These Alexa-compatible smart home packages will allow ADU owners to control the temperature, Wi-Fi, lighting, and door locks. Each Plant Prefab LivingHome unit will come with two Amazon Echos, an Eero Mesh Wi-Fi router, a Ring Video Doorbell 2, a Schlage Encode Lock, an Ecobee Smart Thermostat, a Lutron Smart Bridge and Smart Dimmers, and Sense Energy Monitoring.
