Zia Records – Arizona and Nevada

With locations throughout Arizona as well as Las Vegas, Zia Records surely has a presence in the West. Easy Street Records – Seattle

Easy Street Records is located in Seattle, Washington. They’re a record store, cafe, and bar that has been serving the Seattle area since the late 1980s. Since their opening, they’ve hosted a number of artists in their live performance space, including Brandi Carlile, Lana Del Rey, Pearl Jam, and Patti Smith. Arguably one of the most iconic independent record stores in the nation is Amoeba Music, specifically the Hollywood location. They offer a diverse selection of vinyl and CDs, as well as films. Amoeba Hollywood is not only a record store but also an iconic live music venue with a hosting roster of legends like Stevie Nicks, Paul McCartney, and Ozzy Osbourne. Amoeba is also known for their video series “What’s In My Bag” which features interviews with artists, musicians, and producers. If you’re not based in Los Angeles, Berkeley, or San Francisco, Amoeba ships nationwide. 

Jackpot Records – Portland

Jackpot Records in Portland, Oregon, opened their doors in 1997 and expanded the business to include a record label in 2004. In their store, they offer a diversified selection of records as well as options for selling your own used vinyl for cash or store credit. Discodelic – San Francisco

Discodelic is located in San Francisco and specializes in Latin music. In their brick and mortar store, they host weekly live record mixes called Discodelicos which are “testaments to the art of record digging and delicious sonic selections” hosted by DJs and record collectors, according to their website. 1-2-3-4 Go Records – Oakland

Fingerprints Music – Long Beach

Since opening in 1992, Fingerprints Music has served the Long Beach area as a record store and host for live performances and events.
