Ed and Lee Riddell decided to simplify their lives and concentrate on photography and painting. "The clean slate gave us the opportunity to ask ourselves, 'What is the space we want for this new life?' " With the help of Phoenix architect Will Bruder ― known for innovative designs that celebrate connections to the land ― they defined it.

The entry porch reflects the home's simple palette.
