Bing Crosby’s Former Palm Desert Home Is for Sale—Take a Peek Inside
It’s on the market for $13.5 million.
No doubt the holiday spirit is all throughout the Palm Desert property where the iconic Christmas crooner, Bing Crosby, once lived. While Crosby is known for his prolific and successful film and music career, his voice is forever immortalized during the Christmas season, thanks to his version of “White Christmas,” which holds the Guinness World Record for the best-selling physical single of all time. His former home is on the market for $13.5 million as it current owners are looking to downsize, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Located within the exclusive Ironwood Country Club, the property spans a whopping 2.53 acres. The sellers, Randall and Julia Burt, bought the estate in 2012 and completed a down-to-the-studs renovation, with a goal to honor its history. It now contains a main house that features five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, plus three casitas. Plus, there are modern updates, like solar panels.
As for the interiors, they’re described as exuding “timeless sophistication, with meticulous attention to detail evident throughout. A seamless blend of modern amenities and classic charm creates an inviting ambiance in every corner.”
The grounds feature beautiful landscaping and amenities, such as a lighted tennis court, bocce ball court, pool, and plenty of outdoor gathering spaces.
The estate is full of Hollywood history, too, albeit a bit salacious. It’s said that John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe allegedly had a romantic rendezvous there.
