Carl and Tom grew up on the East Coast and moved to the Bay Area in the late 70’s. Both of them attended Cal Poly, SLO as an architecture major, at different times, in the 80’s and 90’s. Carl founded square three architecture in 1990 in Palo Alto and has been rooted there since. Carl and Tom became partners in 2007 and co-manage an average of 25 active projects and oversee all aspects of the office, along with fostering the professional growth of their skilled staff.
