With so many amazing breweries across the coast, we thought why not take it upon ourselves to round up the best ones that also allow your furry companion to tag along. From Los Angeles to Colorado, we’ve gathered our favorite dog-friendly breweries to try out a flight or simply sip a few of your favorite pints.

Looking for a spot on the water? Check out Ballast Point in Long Beach, take your good boy (or girl) for a walk up the marina and a quick dip in the water on a hot day after you’ve pounded a few of their spicy sculpins. Looking for a spot that changes their rotation on the regular? Stop by New Belgium’s Colorado brewery for the flight of the day, a flight that changes every day to feature their best batches of the day. Mad Oak Bar

Oakland, California 

A staple just off of Lake Merritt in Oakland, Mad Oak is one of those welcoming neighborhood bars you might see in a romantic comedy. With 40 beers on draft and cocktails too, you and your furry friends are welcome in the two-story bar with downtown views.

Portland, Oregon

At Gigantic Brewing, they welcome pups of all sizes on their patio. They have tons of options on draft as well as a collection of barrel-aged brews to satisfy your wild side. Your pup might even score a couple of treats and a photo on their Instagram.

Golden Road

Glendale, California 

As one of the largest breweries in Los Angeles, Golden Road is a popular favorite of most beer enthusiasts. You can find their California Mango Cart and IPA-style beers nationwide, but at their brewery, you can try special batches as a flight all with your pup by your side. 

New Belgium

Fort Collins, Colorado

Stop into the New Belgium brewery in Colorado for a glass of some seriously tasty beer. Your dog can keep you company while you sip on their flight of the day, a rotating flight of five-ounce pours. 

Lagunitas Taproom

Seattle, Washington

If you’re lucky enough to be in Seattle, stop by the popular Lagunitas taproom. The brand that we all enjoy from our local liquor stores can be enjoyed fresh by the pint or as part of a flight at their brewery. Plus, your pups can come along for the ride, they will pet them and provide plenty of treats to keep them occupied.

Ballast Point

Long Beach, California

Ballast Point makes for a great spot to spend the day on the water. Their outdoor patio goes along the marina and their bar has over 60 different drafts on tap. They’ll happily offer leashed pups a bowl to lap on while you both relax in the ocean breeze. 

Boomtown Brewery

Los Angeles, California

This classic Los Angeles brewery is based in the Arts District on the east side of the city. With a large taproom for patrons to pet and play with their pups while sipping on some classic-style ales, Boomtown is a brewery worth visiting. 

Postdoc

Redmond, Washington

Postdoc sits right on the edge of Marymoor Park, making it a perfect pitstop after a jog, picnic in the park, or walk with your furry friend. With a broad Pacific Northwestern lineup of beers on draft, they also have a selection of sours and barrel aged beers. 

Fieldwork Brewery

Berkeley, California 

Fieldwork Brewing Company is a craft brewery headquartered in Berkeley, CA. While they have a location in Berkeley, they also have locations in Corte Madera, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Mateo and San Ramon as well; all of which are pet-friendly! 

Angel City

Los Angeles, California

Another staple brewery of Los Angeles is Angel City. Located in the Arts District, this brewery combines delicious beers with great causes by hosting fundraisers and tasting events in their outdoor space. Check out Avocado Fest on Aug. 7 where they will release their latest avocado Kolsch style ale.

Monkish

Torrance, California 

Enter the Monkish tasting room with your best friend (who happens to be a dog) and sip and savor from over twenty draft brews on tap. Their newly-opened patio space makes for a great hang spot for the whole gang—human or otherwise. 

Societe

San Diego, California

Like many other businesses in the last year, Societe adapted to the times by building a great beer garden for their brews to be enjoyed. They pride themselves on serving beer in its ideal form—fresh from the brewhouse located in the same building. The beertenders are ready to blow your mind with new batch brews, so grab the leash and head over to Societe.
