Denver Shake Shack Debuts a Menu of Local Delights

Denver’s burger scene got a major upgrade in March when Shake Shack opened its first Colorado location in the buzzing River North (RiNo) neighborhood.

The Manhattan hot dog cart turned über-popular fast-casual chain has established over 150 restaurants internationally since it first opened in 2004.

While favorites like the all-natural Angus beef ShackBurger, crispy chicken sandwiches, and grilled flat-top hot dogs hold steady on the menu, Shake Shack is honoring local flavors with menu items exclusive to The Centennial State. Among them, the Green Chile CheddarShack burger, topped with marinated green chiles and shredded white cheddar, and a special frozen custard featuring Denver bakery The Long I Pie’s salted honey lavender pie. If that doesn’t sound good enough as it is, a portion of proceeds from a shake dubbed the “Pie Oh My Concrete,” will support the nearby Food Bank of the Rockies.

Colorado craft beer will also be served, including brews from Funkwerks of Fort Collins, as well as Denver’s Ratio Beerworks and Denver Beer Co. There are even menu items for your furry friends to enjoy on the dog-friendly patio, if they fancy a peanut butter and biscuit custard of their own.
