[Northwest; Saturday]Refresh Market: Vintage, Handmade + Pop-upIndie crafters, we’ve got a gig for you. Refresh Market sets the West Coast Railway Heritage Park abuzz Saturday with over 70 vintage and handmade vendors from Pemberton to Vancouver. Local food, music and retail pop-ups will accompany Refresh’s curated goods and makers. Bring the kids along for a beading station, family portraits, and a fashion show. [Southern California; Saturday]The Great Los Angeles WalkNobody really walks in L.A., but the Great Los Angeles Walk disagrees. This ninth annual event brings L.A. folks to the sidewalks to show they can use their feet to get places. Participants will walk a hefty 17.1 miles from Warner Center Park to North Hollywood then celebrate their pedestrian accomplishment at a NoHo after party in the evening. Architectural and cultural sites along the way include Casa de Cadillac, Fleetwood Center, Universal Studios, and Campo de Cahuenga and will end with The Art Institute of California. [Northern California; Friday-Sunday]Monterey Cowboy Poetry & Music FestivalCowboys convene in Monterey this weekend to celebrate their Western culture and traditions. Say ‘howdy’ at the 16th annual festival where men and women will share music, poetry, and stories. Saturday ends with an evening boot-skootin’ dance to top off the classic Western experience.
